      Ivan,

Many thanks for the prompt response. Good to hear it is a good one. I have several of the aluminum so this would be a first for the NS variety. The NS seem to be much harder to find as most collectors seem to be holding these in their collections longer than the aluminum.

Unfortunately one of the latest fake from our beloved fakers. This one is out since last year but seldom seen (yet).

        Sorry.

          JP,

Many thanks for the prompt response - I was just researching this in the archives and I began having some reservations with the obverse photo, specifically the eagle and the details of the chest in comparison to originals. It would seem to me the age and wear would have worn down the chest feathers in a more uniform fashion rather the leaving the highpoints somewhat unaltered and showing the very deep cavities of the chest.

            Dan,

Pay close attention to your own photos and to the originals posted before (35/36 and/or 36/36's) and you will find several major differences, not only on the back but also to the front. But you will certainly understand I will not comment those details on a public plateform.
Last year you could buy this fake for less than $100 USD at Manion's in the reproductions section.

Worst thing to do in this hobby. Happened already several times to myself.

No problems Ivan... we all rush to judgement at times which is why this forum is so very important and informative. Your input and knowledge has helped many so no apologies necessary.

JP - understand fully and again, thank you!
