    M/4/27 hj buckle

I have an HJ buckle with M/4/27 on it. Is that the same maker as M4/27? If not, who makes it? Thanks

I believe M4 was for metal objects, and 27 is E.L. Muller, Pforzheim.

    Regards,
    Kent G.

More specifically, M = metal items, and 4 is for "Koppelschloss Hersteller" (belt buckle makers).

Would not M4/27 be for Overhoff?

        Regards,

          hello

Overhoff made a mistake when it applied this marking : m/4/27 instead of m4/27..

We can see this error on HJ nickeled steel and other ones..

          That was corrected later

          best

            M4/27 was Overhoff.
The Müller from Pforzheim mentioned as 27 in one of the posts is from the M1- code, being a manufacturer for metal insignia and badges.
