Wh buckle silver

just bought this buckle today and wondering this silver finish for a wh buckle i have several buckles all colored grey green blue but none silver . maker marked B&N -42 OPINIONS NEEDED .

yes it's real and in my opinion late war production .

Here a exemplar from Overhoff but unmarked :

I think maybe these late war silver painted wh buckles were used for parade purposes? but not for combat .

W SS silver buckles are made too for combat so wh silver buckles are in my opinion the same or not
