2 piece Army buckle "Scarce Variant" ?

I was going over some buckles I picked up in pick recently and just now saw one of them listed as "the two-piece version, with a separately attached roundel," and described as a "Scarce Variant." Is that marketing hype or what is the story behind these?

    thanks

This is a common buckle and is call a 4 tab buckle. A 2 piece would have the roundel soldered at two points. A variant of the 4 tab buckle with the eagles head facing the other direction is a little hard to find and worth 4-5 time the value of you buckle.

Thanks - the online dealer who called this "the two-piece version, with a separately attached roundel" and a "scarce variant: showed this exact same type and I had wondered why no one commented on that when I showed this before in another thread. So it looks like marketing hype on his part (his faces the same direction as this one).
