Next to mint Heer buckle + belt set, opinions

    Hi all,

just found this next to mint set from a good source for next to nothing. So I have a good feeling on it. I just wondered about the rivets of the claw. The upper one looks very big and they both appear overpainted but with the same color like the buckle itself. Could it be that they lost there paint when they were riveted in the production process, thus the overpainting ?

Otherwise it looks like a great set that has always been together, or ?

    Thanks, Jens

      Very nice original buckle.
Paint added on the prong bar end is legit from the production process.

i agree & have owned a few buckles with the same factory paint touch up, the belt is different from what we are used to seeing thus being in undyed state with the same buckle catch as WW1 belts but on a late war RBN numbered belt.

Thanks alot for your input guys

As I said, the buckle was found with the belt together and Iam nearly 100 % sure it has always been together like this.

The belt is unusual but surely a product of late war shortages how I think.

            Many thanks, Jens

              nice set

the catch is a "tropical" one often used on late war rnbr belt.
