Rural police buckle

Hello collectors,

I think everybody knows the "Landespolizei" buckle in gold and
silver. But Catella and Bandau describe a third variant. Catella as fieldgray, Bandau as pebbled aluminium. Has anybody this variant in his collection???

Yes Marc, this is what I mean. What a great buckle! It is the first time to see this variant. This one is much harder to find than the others, or not?!? Got it the same markings?

Hello Christian and All,

The buckle shown above is the one Catella is referring to; it comes from the late Moriau collection in Paris before I bought the collection. (The photo in the book is very bad because the author did not have the permission from the owner to publish the buckle and he had do use a picture taken from a old picture from a group of buckles.)
It is not in Aluminium but in non magnetic material ( Nickel) and the colour is indeed green.
Tom Reid must have heard of this buckle without seeing it, This must explain the mistake in identification. OR there is an other variant we do not know of.
This buckle is the only one known at this time but I’ve heard that there must be more because there was a box of them at the Assmann factory in the 60's /70's. ( I know this from a trustworthy person who have seen them)The exact quantity that was made is unknown but it is almost certain that they where never issued.
They where probably made to match the field uniform and where replaced by the new model police buckle before they could be used.
All comment on this buckle is very welcome.
