Not sure Robin, that had not occurred to me. Is this finish different than what is usually found on these buckles?

Now I've seen the back, the buckle looks OK.

The buckle looks sound, albeit the colour appearing a trifle light.

Perhaps the digital image effect.

You paid the corect price. Alu will be more depending the condition. Mint wit tab will sell 100/125 $

The prices suggested seem right, although it is worth remembering that the Polizei box buckle is still one of the easy ones to secure - thank goodness.

If you are looking for an aluminium example, then I think it is worth stretching yourself for a mint or near mint one.

The problem however with Polizei buckles is that the damn things are so addictive - numerous variations in metals, colours, finishes, forms of construction, size of swastika and motto lettering etc.
