Looks like a nice Overhoff to me with honest wear to the silver-grey finish

Correct Waffen-SS backed grey-green velvet brocade dress belt with 5mm black/silver/black strips along top and bottom and alternating SS runes and oakleaves along the belt.

Off buckle and belt

Hey thanks guys. I thought so, What do you guys make of the green backing material? What is the deal, some say the felt is SS and some say police? I had a gabardine backed one years ago I wish I still had :- ( Thanks again. Jim

The same brocade was used for both Waffen-SS and the SS-Polizei officers, changing from the earlier police brocade of red and black stripes on silver backing. So the only thing identifying the Oakleaf offering as SS is the buckle.

Most likely this buckle never been on this belt before the end of the war. ...
So, most likely, you are buying a post war association, even if both items (belt and buckle) can be both original.
