Hello folks. I picked up a few items over the last week at the local flea markets, and this is one of 'em. A steel SS EM buckle stamped "RODO" to the reverse, with a goodly amount of field gray-green paint remaining to the obverse and more so, to the reverse surfaces. The details are pretty crisp and I'm assuming it's late war (IF original), in this configuration. The surface rust is superficial, but I'm loathe to attempt to clean it for fear of losing more paint. I'm hoping the SS buckle experts here can chime in on this example w/ their thoughts. The gent told me it was something his father brought home, but we all know the adage regarding "stories"....A few pix for your perusal. Thanks in advance for any instructive comments!
