I believe it's an original solid nickel HJ. I would really like to see a bit better photos though, especially of the reverse. Are there any markings?

I believe it's original and an early solid nickel buckle. Chad Williams is the man for these and so perhaps he'll correct me here or be able to identify the maker.

got home late tonight.. Will look this one up in my catalog in the morning, buckle looks good, will try and nail down the maker for you not a common maker for sure ..

Can you send one very straight on pic of the whole eagle..it is important that it is straight on..
From the pics presented, it looks very similar to Steinhauer & luck

100% Genuine, as for the price,well i recently sold a nickle example very similar to that one but with the belt too and i charged 90 Euro for the set so gage it from that mate

This is really an issue of how much it's worth to the individual collector... Personally I would not pay more than $85 USD.
