Hello Be very careful with these NSFK buckles. It was a very rare buckle, then about 12-15 years ago they started showing up in large numbers. I couldn't tell you if this one is original or not.

The wear on the NSFK gold part does not seem to match the wear of the overall buckle... These are my ONLY observations since is the first time I have even seen this type of buckle... I think i've fallin in love!

Could it be explained by the different materials?

The buckle is aluminum and the emblem is gold plated brass... so that does seem like a very good possibility!

Thanks. Anyone knows the history/background of this buckle as far as when it was manufactured, period pictures in wear, (or any info in general).
Any opinion specific to the gold (Ikarus) insignia? Thank you
