Concerning SS Buckles (and I will talk about SS Buckles only) Pieter is right. Assmann produced only two series of SS Buckles in aluminum: one in 1939 and it is marked RZM 155/39 SS, and one in 1940 and it is marked RZM 155/40 SS. No Assmann logo or whatever else.
Concerning the SS prototype ones made in 1936 by Assmann also, they are all unmarked.

Marc will say more regarding buckles from other branches.

      Hello,
I don’t think I have to ad more to what Pieter has said About the Assmann company, I do want to point out that there is one buckle made by Assmann that do have the DRGM AND the A from Assmann.
It is the RMBO prototype six side’s buckle that has on the back two times the A from Assmann and in the middle the DRGM Marking.
This buckle been an exclusive design from Assmann, the company made sure to protect it.
      Do I add confusion?????

        In fact no confusion,
What we are looking for are aluminium buckle made by Assmann WITHOUT the DRGM, only the big "A"

          BUCKLES

          DEAR MARC,

WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW IS THAT IF YOU TAKE A BUCKLE MADE BY ASSMANN THAT CARRIES THE "A" + THE D.R.G.M. MARKINGS, IF THE SAME BUCKLE ALSO EXIST WITH ONLY THE "A" ON IT? AND I MEAN EXACTLY THE SAME IN MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION.

            Hi Guys,

Unfortunately we are talking here about officer buckles and I don’t collect those.
I collect only EM buckles. I do know the officers buckles well and I do have Hundreds of them for trade but I don’t have an of of the same buckles to be 100 % affirmative of my following statement.
The interesting thing on the RMBO buckle was that this buckle is clamed by some authors to be made during the war (1942) where Assmann did not marked the buckles with DRGM anymore. I speak here for the buckles only!!!!! I don’t know anything about badges!!!!!!!!!!!

There are more than the RMBO buckles who are marked A+DRGM. All the ones I have seen are dated, A marked and bares the DRGM marking. All the ones who are marked A+ DRGM are dated from or before 1940. For example an aluminium railroad officer,

            A
            DRGM
            38

There are of course all the buckles who are marked A alone.

I don’t recall seeing the EXACT same buckle with A+ DRGM marking and the other one with the A marking.
If this is really something important for you guys, I will look into my EM buckles to see if there I can discover the exact same buckle with A+DRGM and the exact same one with only A ore nothing. But this can take a wile.

              BUCKLES

MARC, WHAT YOU MENTIONED IN YOUR LAST SENTENCE IS INDEED OF GREAT IMPORTANCE.
OF COURSE THERE ARE BUCKLES THAT ARE MARKED ONLY WITH THE "A" AND BUCKLES WITH "A" + D.R.G.M. MARKINGS.

BUT ARE THERE BUCKLES...OR WATHEVER KIND OF OTHER ASSMANN PRODUCED ITEMS... OF WHICH YOU KNOW ONE EXISTING WITH ONLY THE "A" AND ANOTHER ONE...BUT EXACTLY THESAME ONE... WITH THE "A" + D.R.G.M.
              THATS WAT S REALLY IMPORTANT.
              THANKS .
              PIETER.

                NO, Pieter.
At my knowledge there is no buckle from Assmann (Exact the same buckle, design, material, measure, dies ex…) that has one time the A+DRGM and the other time the A only or no markings at all.
This does exist for other makers of buckles but I never have seen this by Assmann.

                  Hello Marc & Pieter,

what is about the TeNo leaders buckle? I know that some marked "A" and some "A - D.R.G.M. - 40". But I don't know anybody, who got both ones for compare.

                  regards from Germany
