Unknown Buckle (at least to me) - ID Please

Hi Everybody,

Please could I ask for your thoughts on ths buckle. I suspect it is pre Third Reich but I do not know what the emblem represents.

Any ideas?

Deutsche turnerschaft buckle

There acts of a loop of the "deutsche turnerschaft" of the Twenties, it is an association of gymnastics I saw an identical loop to sell it is not a long time cordially, Thierry.

Thierry is correct towards confirming that this buckle is indeed Deutscher Turnerbund.

The emblem of 4 connecting "F's" as proclaiming Frisch, Froh, Fromm u Frei (Fresh, Happy, Pious and Free).

An unusual and hard to find variation, however clearly illustrated on page 567 of Jacks tome.

A good and difficul to secure buckle.

Thanks for replying. I must confess I don't have Jack's book. Interestingly, though, I don't have it yet, the buckle is accompanied by a flag pole-top, incorporating the same emblem. I'll post a picture tomorrow.
