A nice HJ buckle, Kirby and with the enigmatic double maker marks for Assmann & Overhoff. The question remains: why these double maker marks? What was the relationship between Assmann and Overhoff in the early days of these HJ buckles? Here are photos of my example of the one shown as well as another.
