Kroaten die in die SS Division PRINZ EUGEN
I looked in everything but books and I do not find her.
I believe that these an invention of the year 70.

Hello,
the buckle is obviously a fake.
However the insignia is not SS related, not Prinz Eugen Div.
Good EM buckles of this type exist and are from Einsatzstaffel der Deutschen Mannschaft (german people who lived in Croatia).

Interesting to read on a German forum from a specialised Croatian collector that the original officer buckles are casted roughly with much less detail as these were hand-made in limited quantities.
An estimated 150 of these were produced for Einsatzstaffel der Deutschen Mannschaft officers (?)
Also read that some 11 of these exist in collections and that most of these were ground dug finds. All appear to be rough versions.

The first one shown in this thread is a fake copied from the regular e.m. buckle design.

No idea if above is true and if officer buckles for ES. d. DM. organisation even existed...
