I know this paticular FAD roundel from several faked buckles.

In this case the box has also some bad features like the undistinct catch so I would propose to pass on this buckle!

Stefan, I would not say that all of these 2-piece FAD buckles are fake, but you will find large quantities of them in Kassel in unworn condition! These fake FAD roundels are quite good and I fear that is almost impossible to judge if these buckles are original or not. Just my opinion!

I must echo Guidos comment. The one I own, is a Wurster made and has really sharp details. The one you showed is more blurry at the leafes.
I would pass it.
