    2 bad HJ Buckles?

These are both supposedly unfinished HJ buckles. They give me a bad feeling.

Can anyone set my mind at ease?

Tell me what you guys think.

    Thanks

2 genuine hj buckles made from zinc which has lost its silver coating so they now have a dull patina appearance imo.

        Hello,
dont' worry, you have two good HJ buckles made by zinc injection molding.
They are from Friedrich Linden (M4/24) and Overhoff & Cie (M4/27).

        Greetings
        brus

          Hello,

As you are new here I'll offer a suggestion. When asking for assistance and stating that you have a bad feeling it would help to say why you feel as you do. Then we can address your specific concern as well as the overall item. That way the thread becomes a learning experience for you, and others who follow, as they too may have the same concern.

          Regards,
          Stu

            Stu,

One of the buckles was advertised as an unfinished buckle. The "unfinished" buckle looked to be in the same condition the other one pictured so I thought maybe I had 2 unfinished buckles. That was fine no doubts until a "30 year" collector said that he didn't like either of them because of the prongs and the "look" of them in general.

So being new it started to eat at me. That's when I decided to post them here for some more opinions. It turned out to be the right thing to do.

Funny thing is at the same show I had someone tell me that he didn't like my Volkssturm armband because it was printed!

            Thanks guys

OK, thanks for that follow-up info. I appreciate it. Your decision to post them was a good one and I look forward to seeing more of your collection as it grows.

              Regards,
              Stu
