    Punishment Battalion (Brain buckle)

    Hi all
    Received this buckle the other day,seems like there's a lot of uncertainty about this particular type of buckle.
    Most references I have read about this buckle seem to point to a fake,also most of them are supposedly marked B&N-43.
    This one is definitely marked B&N-48,I don't know if this makes a difference for authenticity or not.
    Even if it is a fake I'm glad to have it for my collection.
    Hopefully someone can shed some more light on it for me and everyone else that is a little unsure.

      a usage of this buckle in punishment regiments is nowhere confirmed.

      I would also say it is no fake! Just a post war buckle produced on modified original dies. The purpose is unknown, but I assume for a civil usage.
