    Belt Buckle Lot - Thoughts?

Here is a lot of buckles I came across... I know that some are fake - but think some are authentic as well. I would like to know your thoughts on the following below:

    1) Weimar Republic

    2) POLICE (are these supposed to be very light? I think its a fake - b/c its light and feels cheap!)

    3) WWII ROYAL BULGARIAN

    4) RAD (this also feels light and cheap)

    5) ARMY

    6) HJ (01)

    7) HJ (02)

    8) HJ (03)

Don't know much about the brass buckle, but all the other pieces are original and in a very good condition!

Especially the Binder RAD buckle and the M4/44 Heer buckle are quite hard to find makers!

Nice buckles. I have certainly learned something new here from you, Guido in regards to the RZM M4/44 Heer... Up until now I had believed that Heer buckles were not RZM/politically marked and that this was a sign of a fake. What's the story with this buckle? A special exception of some kind for Paul Cramer & Co.?

Adam, you are perfectly right by assuming that only "political stuff" bears usually an RZM mark.

Don't know why Cramer marked these non political buckles (you will find also Luftwaffe and neutral buckles marked in that way) with an RZM M4 code. Maybe this was an error in their knowledge about RZM regulations? Who knows!
However, these buckles are perfectly legit and the piece shown in this thread is still in good condition.

        Best,
        Guido

I believe the brass buckle is Czechoslovakian, not Bulgarian.

All buckle from the photos look good to me.

This is my first time seeing a Binder maker mark on the buckle & first Binder RAD I have seen. To me a very difficult & rare "cottage industry" maker marked buckle.

I have seen tabs with his stamp so I would be interested if other Binder buckles are in collections with the maker mark? Please show them.

                Dan,

I have seen less than a hand full Binder buckles before. And I know only RAD and Heer buckles by this maker. I am not sure but I think their Alu Heer buckle itself bears no makers mark and no logo, they have only the stamp on their tab.

This is my Binder RAD example.

                Guido

Yes, I also agree. A great group of buckles and some tough ones to find as Dan stated. The Wehrmacht RZM 44 buckle is a tough one to find. They alkl appear to be in Excellent or better condition.
                  Congrats,

                  Bill

Guido - thanks for posting your excellent Binder RAD example. This maker has alluded me all these years.

Josh - most steele Heer buckles did have paint applied. I wouldn't be to concerned. Nice lot of buckles.

                          HELP!

Since this post I have focused my buckle collection to HJ's. I am looking to move the RAD Binder and M4 Marked Heer along on Estand. I know they are both very hard to find, thus, I didn't find prices online to base them on!

Thoughts on a good price to start on eStand, Thanks!?

                            1) Binder tabbed RAD buckle
                            2) M4/44 Marked Heer buckle

                            Condition of buckles found below!

                              Hello Gentlemen,

Wehrmacht-Heer is not exactly my area and I think a great deal of this really depends on what an item is worth to the individual collector. That being said, I asked a friend of mine who specializes in Heer as to what fair market value might be for the M4/44. He shared with me that he might spend around $180 for this buckle and so perhaps this is correct. I’m very curious to know what others think about this so that Josh may get a fair deal here.

                              Best,
                              Adam
