Is this SS belt buckle original? thank you

I was wondering if this buckle is any good. I am sorry... this is the only photo I have.

the buckle is made of steel on what appears to be a tropical belt. The back is marked: 155/43

I paid $400 for it The most I ever paid for a buckle. It does have a nice tropical belt with it.
