      Hi Daniel,

Nothing wrong with it as far as I can see, and a very unusual variation with the Swastika - quite a treasure I would think!

      Regards,

      Karl

I do not have a good feeling with the swastika, may have been added later?

A close-up from the swastika would be good.....

These buckles are still made today and although the one pictured seems to be a pre-war original, the swastika looks indeed suspicious. A close up of the way the swastika is attached to the buckle / hammers would help. I have no records of such buckles with swastika, if original it would be are scarce item.

I agree with Pieter and Marc. Very questionable buckle. One thing that makes me wonder is the overhang of the hammers and the swastika into the wreath area. This is not the usual way of construction on German buckles and is a good givaway that the attachment may have been added. The fact that this design has never been documented before that I am aware of also concerns me. A very good closeup of the inset would be nice.

                Hello ,

I took a closeup photo of the swastica , one side shows solder , which would indicate to me that the hammers and swastica did not start out in life together .
Thanks for your info and help , Dan Griffin
