    Feuerschutzpolizei

The Police buckle is not really my cup of tea, although as usual, one is bought and they grow like topsy.

A couple of images that I thought may be of interest in relation to a buckle type still fairly easy to find and also, generally reasonably priced.

I have incidentally seen the fake Police buckles in steel, with an artificial "gun blue" finish.

    Regards,

    David

            Belt Buckle Fire Police

These finished belt buckles are officical used bye the Feuerlöschpolizei between 1936 and 1940. After 1940 they have also to use the blank form.

These things do tend to grow on you don't they. I'm finding my interest in them growing day by day.

                Thanks as always.

Of minor note, a year ago, I had no real interest.

Now - crikey, a very interesting and diverse area of buckle collecting.

Without wishing to pour cold water on the Polizei bucke, appearing to be faked in steel, although as yet, not aluminium.

Only a matter of time though - I guarantee.

                  Regards,

                  David
