Luftwaffe EM Fake?

Picked up a Luftwaffe buckle out of a jewelry lot at a flea market yesterday. First buckle I have picked up. I have heard of fakes being cast out of rusted medal, so I am unsure about this one. Some paint is left.

I didn't know if I picked up a fake or not, but for $20 I thought a chance would be taken. Much help is appreciated

Wow, thanks brus I never would have guessed it was an original piece. The seller had lots of obvious fake badges and such, so I was a little apprehensive.
