Cleaning Nickel Silver Buckles (or other)

Does someone know if it is still possible to restore to original shine a Nickel Silver buckle once it has turned brick brown (for example when been left in ground for several years) ?
    If yes, how ?

Bonjour JP! I am not in favor of trying to restore dug relics, as i think "they are what they are", & the ground action is a part of their history, the last act so to speak. If you still want to clean it, the best thing i've found is non-abrasive Simichrome polish. It may take a good bit of work with a heavily patinated item like that, but it's totally safe for the artifact. You might try a preliminary treatment with
one of the electrolysis kits, which use
a magnesium plate you submerge with the item in a tray of hot soapy water. These are often available from jewelry stores. Any safe method will probably take a good bit of time on heavy oxidation.
