Sorry mate, but this is a reproduced tinnie added to a new buckle. The guy who produces these has a lot more odd buckles to sell. Some funny, some "looks-good-can-these-be-original???- ones - but at the end of the day - all not authentic.
Although, he says he has the original stocks from the former producers - still not period mate.
I am sure, this buckle combination you show, has never been sold at the olympic games. But there is an authentic tinnie, like that.
                  Cheers
                  Thomas

                    Lothringen,
NortonI is correct, this is a fake.....aside from being a "fantasy" buckle ......there are two obvious giveaways.....first is the 3 soder points (sometimes found on very early buckles- almost never on 3rd Reich) and look at the cuts on the end of the double prongs....flat and cut in opposite angles...originals are usually evenly rounded/angled to a point....some are alittle cruder than others....but this straight "opposite cut" is a dead give away.

Don't feel badly....we've all been there!

Just took a quick look at this Becks Militaria. Spotted several fakes in a few minutes, also in the headgear section.
