    Tropical army buckle????

This buckle was recently vet estate purchased along with a luft and an army dress buckle. I'm wondering if this flat green/brown color was a tropical color or if there is really no significance to it. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Nice looking buckle but it needs a web tab to really make it tropical.

I just double checked the buckle for maker marks, I looked with my magnifying glass and there isn't a mark anywhere. I know the web tounge would seal the deal, but wouldn't the paint color also come into play?

                      Hello,

Based on what I think I understand from the linked thread it's a standard Heer buckle. The tab is what makes it Tropical or DAK, not the buckle color.
