    Luftwaffe officer's buckle question

I've heard many times that a Luft officer's buckle where the eagle's wings touch the border are fakes. There's one on the eStand now:

But there seem to be many who claim this is not true. Can someone set the record straight? I ask because I've got a brocade and buckle exactly like the one on the eStand.

    Chris,

I saw that buckle. It is questionable as far as I am concerned. You need to ask to see the back of the buckle. the fact that it is not shown also raises some questions. My experience has been that when the wing tips touch the wreath it is a bad buckle. Just my opinion. Maybe some other members canh chime in.

Thanks for the input guys. My buckle has the eagle held on with only one pin/rivet. Does anyone know if there are legitimate versions of this buckle with multiple pins/rivets?
