This post is a couple of years old but I wanted to post some pictures of the buckle in question. Has there been a difinitive answer or constructive arguement on the originality of this buckle and maker mark?

Could this be possibly Gebruder Hahn???

Hello Dan,

it's an original buckle by G.H. Osang in Dresden : it's interesting to note the same kind of catch used by H. Aurich (again in Dresden).

Thank you for the clarification. I had originally thought Osang but could not find any other posts regarding this topic. Good eye on the catch - it is very apparent now since you pointed this out that the Dresden manufacturers (Osang & Aurich) indeed used the same short footed catch.

That's Right ..it's a Osang -buckle. I've also a Osang fire-police Buckle with the makers mark in the swastika. Btw..the makers mark Osang and Aurich they have the same position on the luft-buckle

The catches from the Heer buckles (Osang - Aurich) look also very similar!

Maybe they have had the same supplier?
