    Odd SA 2 piece buckle

Can the resident authorities look at this buckle and let me know what the opinion is? The eagle looks like an odd variant. It's a 2 piece and came in with some other items

    Hello,

I think it's an authentic period piece. However, for anything SA I'd ask David North for his opinion just to make sure.

    Regards,
    Stu

Yes, the SA belt buckle is 100% original! I posted a similiar SA belt buckle few days ago and it turned to be original. My SA belt buckle was virtually identical to your SA belt buckle. No problem with your SA buckle!

        Original.

This type is seen in at least two common reference books

I agree that this is an original SA buckle, however the solder points look a little odd (under size and without substance). Has the buckle been subject to flame or heat at some time perhaps? Minor detail though to an original buckle.

More than likely manufactured by Overhoff und Cie.

          Regards,

          David
