Alluminium SS buckle - dug and rare bird

I was told this SS ground dug buckle is quite rare (R. Angolia - pg. 214)....

ac, Sorry to say but this buckle looks to me to be a very bad moulded repro made to look like a ground dug buckle imo.

I think that it is rare alluminum ss buckle. if it is zink (?) its not common type too

Hi Alessio, is the buckle made of zinc or aluminum ? Is it "heavy" or "light" ?
To bad a condition and with the "paint" I can not tell from the picture...

Marc and the others...many thanks for your interest in my thread...this buckle is made of aluminium and is a light one (altough I don't know the real difference between heavy or light)...honestly, from what I know about the source it is an original ground dug buckle...could someone post the pics that (i was told) are displayed on Angolia's belt and buckle book?

All is said, thank's JP !.
As I also supposed but wanted to be sure of the material, it is an original super scarce aluminum molded SS buckle !!
I used to own such a buckle who was dug up also many years ago, bud the condition was near to a regular used non dug one.
Maybe JP still have the pictures ....
