DAK Belt or Tropical?

Hi Mark,
Well it is nice to be able to say that I have a DAK belt and buckle. Yes, as you can see the buckle was used on the last two tongue holes. The set-up goes nicely with my M-40 cap.

Hi there, sorry to rain on your party, but ive never seen a belt and buckle that were factory painted with the belt attached to the hook catch.
look at pictures number 5, theres paint on the belt where the catch touches the canvas.Secondly, the buckle was a darker green before being this colour, look at the prong bar on the right in picture five, 2nd pic down, and i dont like the look of the chipping in the paint on the prongs, and then painted over with crudd under the paint, and also what looks to be wear on the feathers on the eagles chest.
I would like to know what Ricki thinks.

You are not raining on my party. My belt buckle is in thread #8 and my belt is shown in thread #13 not thread #5. You need to be a little more careful when you criticize something. At least get the correct ownership of the item correct.

Sorry , but i pressed the Quote button by mistake.
The buckle i was talking about was in pictures number 5 etc.
Am i wrong though in my thinking that the buckle im talking about has been painted Maybe post war.
