Brocade Belt & NCO Belt Help

    Hi guys,

I am currently in the market for a nice Heer brocade belt and a nice Heer NCO black belt for two of my tunics. I have absolutely no knowledge about these but like most 3rd reich stuff, I'm sure these have been copied too.

Could you guys help me out with advice, suggestions, and pictures of what to look for to determine if the item is original or not? I have Evans book on Third Reich Belt Buckles but it does not go into any detail on the belts themselves.

    Thanks
    John

I am assuming you want the buckle as well. Army brocades in ex.+ to mint condition generally run between $150-$250. There are fakes out there so you need to buy from a reputable dealer who will stand behind his merchandise. Gailen David and Bill Shea are two very good dealers and get these brocades in off and on.

      Brocade Belt & Buckle

Thanks Bill! Yes I need the belt and buckle.

Does anyone have pictures of these belts and buckles that they can post for me? Especially pictures of the areas that have key features to use for identifying original versus fake.

      Thanks
      John

        John,

The brocades have several backings, I have had three different in the past couple of months, a canvas backed, wool backed and tricot, all three have Assman buckles.
They are pretty common , if you are looking for the patent leather with wool interior, PM me I have an extra,
        Dave
