    Fake M4/24 story.

First, thanks for this forum,it has helped many not so educated buyers (myself included)steer away from fake buckles.I recently won a fake M4/24 Poland SS buckle. At the time I thought the buckle was OK from the photos.Shortly after winning the auction I noticed he had the exact same photos for an earlier auction. I immediately opened a dispute case as I did not know what I had won at that point and thought something was not right.Coming to this forum confirmed my suspicions. The seller assured me they belonged to his grandfather and that he had 2 of them....the lies kept mounting. So as it stands I'm waiting for the case to be settled by E-Bay.I hope this seller stops selling these buckles to those of us genuinely interested in history.Guaranteed he will not soon forget the hassle I'm putting him through.
I feel very comfortable here, knowing there are some incredibly knowledgable collectors here.I came from a military family. My father fought in both WW2 and Korea. We were stationed in Germany from 1957to 1960. As a youngster I was able to explore many battlefields with my father and admire his collection of German militaria. We would play splitzies with HY knives and I was always in amazement when one of the kids would show off a German bayonet that his dad owned. One time I walked by a foundry that had a enormous pile of German helmets ready for the smelter. Those were great days.
