    help with identification

    Dear friends,
I've got this 2 belts, which I can't identify and need your help!
Any sugestions? Did firm OLC continuing work after the war? If it's so than we must be dealing with Bundeswehr items?

Hi pereto, OLC continued making both belts and buckles after the war. I have two in my collection with BWH buckles both marked with the OLC diamond on buckles and belt catches.

Belts are wider than WWII WH leathers and usually have the hidden stitching of the parade leathers. Width is 50mm so a normal 48mm WH buckle is too short to fit.

OLC also made some 48 mm shortly after the war for police use, I haven't had one in my hands but they exist.

I can't get your photos to open, so can't say for sure what you have. But I hope this helps you out.

Overhoff made the belt fittings but not the belts. The company is still in business today.

You're probably right, the only maker stampings I've found on the leather was "GD" on a support tab of a late 1960's BW Heer buckle. The belts have only the size and a line of numbers one "0391-2279 D" and another "2 67 148", both have OLC belt catches.

I haven't found any published information explaining the markings but think they are the date made and a makers code number. I'm no expert in the field of BW equipment and would appreciate any information about these code numbers on the leathers. , old but still learning.

LOL, I picked these up for displaying my 1847 buckles, priced right, the belt catch isn't wide enough to fit the 1847 buckle's catch notch but they look okay. German Military belts have come full circle, 50-48-50.
