Anyone know how many TR buckle types there are. ie SS, LW, DAK, RAD to name but a few.

Oh boy! Including tropical versions etc there has to be 50+ not counting different makers per buckle. -
The only duplications I have are in material (Nickle, Aluminum, Painted steel,
Injection mold, etc.) and I have 135 differant EM/Officer belt buckles....and there are at least 50 variations I don't have......
These would be Post WW 1 thru 1945 and do include some of the Trade Union, Shooting Assoc., etc. buckles that also were worn postwar, however,
"all" I have came in Vet lots (though some were in durning the occupation).
They do make a wonderful speciality....but lots of fakes on the market today!
Luckily most are easy to tell with alittle experiance. The WAF is a great sorce for originals (though sometime alittle pricey)....but at least the reproductions are quickly exposed if they make it on ......and there are a couple excellent referance books on buckles that are worth every cent!
