Dr franke buckles question

on saturday i was offered a dr franke heer buckle in steel , the buckle was stamped dr franke & co 1940,it also had a leather tab dated and stamped with Dr Franke , i have done a search and cant seem to find an example with a tab and buckle set that are both stamped with name and date, did they exist or was my search not that good? and sorry no pics as yet,rgds Dave

by the description the buckle could be good, but do not forget a lot of junk coming from east Europe bear the same marking

Hi Dave,

Here is an original Dr. Franke Buckle that is marked Dr.Franke 1940 on both tab & buckle.

Unfortunately, due to a broken flash drive I've lost all my file photographs and these are all I have of my old Dr. Franke buckle.

Thank you Ric and Steve for your help i really appreciate it and Steve the one i was offered looks to be from what i remember exactly the same colour as the bottom one in your pics including condition,it has a belt aswell which again was in unnisued condition,the seller said when he got it years ago it had its paper tag but a friend of his lent it and it came back tagless, them two buckles are just fantastic Steve thanks again Dave
