    TWO PRUSSIANS? Opinions Please

I am not at all comfortable here with these two.
The one with he undated tab seems to me to be a poor fake.
The other , dated 17, I am not altogether sure, but not enthusiastic about either.
I am having trouble with the cross touching the dial in both cases, I dont like the catch on the undated one.
Please let me know what you feel.

          Both are original.
          No problem with them.
WWI buckles are very different in details than WWII ones.

              Look fine. Those are Orginals.

Nothing wrong with that brace of buckles. Positively oozing history!

                  Prussians?

Thanks Guys. I found a good german site for Imperial buckles:
                  Gott-Mitt-Uns.de
Informative with basic repro alert articles.

My worry was the soldered catch on the second buckle but I understand this was done period time.
The 16 types definetly have a sloppier look even down to the stitching of the tabs. As I see on Gott-Mitt-Uns.de
WWI buckles seem to be indeed less standardized than WWII ones as you have suggested.
In any case I am extremely careful cautious as CZ are popping out killer copies at the moment.

A couple of well worn (and who wouldn't be in their 90's) original buckles... I don't see any red flags either.
