    tropical/officer belt on e-stand

I have seen very few of these officer's belts but they were quite different. This one looks like standard tropical belt with hook removed and buckle added. I am also wondering how to fasten it? Both parts look genuine to me, but i don't understand how it was ensembled. Regards Zeller

    Hi Zeller,
This vastly overpriced belt is incomplete. It's missing three parts - two webbed loops - and most importantly, the 'floating' twin pin frame that the hook on the buckle attaches to which itself attaches to the leather tongue.
A quick search of the forum will show you the missing pieces - which will be very hard to find on their own.
    Regards,
    Mark

Hello Mark, yes that was my point, but I didn't want to be too straight (not handling well english I was afraid to be TOO straight)
It looks like they added the buckle to a standard enlisted belt by removing the hook, but the belt like this is not wearable anyway and a odd outfit? Zeller

Actually, I think the belt is an original officer's pattern and not re-sewn - just missing it's component parts..

Thanks Mark, but shouldn't the buckle have the 2 prongs which appear to be missing or removed?

            You are obviously wrong, Zeller!

I think the belt belongs to the officers buckle and the main giveaway is the peaky end of the leathertongue. I saw this feature never on a tropical EM belt before.
I have such a rig in my collection and the belt construction is very similar to the one in question!

On the other hand I agree with Mark, the belt out of the sale is missing three parts!

            Regards,
            Guido

Guido, I opened the thread to understand, so your comment is welcome! Read my initial statement please.
I never saw this type of belt before and I hoped to see a mint sample such the one you just added for reference. Thank you! Regards Zeller

                Zeller,
I know where you are coming from - here's a picture of the prong system and two webbed loops that are missing.

                  Thanks Mark!

that's what happens when you write before Frühstück at 7.30 AM. I was obviously wrong and I just went to check my officer's belt (not tropical) and has the same system as yours: buckle stitched and hook removable.

                    well, final conclusion is,
3missing parts should be montioned in his e-stand sale.

I do not sell what is missing on the belt, but what is there.

my english is not good, sorry
