I have been offered this belt buckle and was wondering if there is any chance for it to be original?? Cheers, Torsten.

        Hello Torsten,

save your money and pass on as the buckle is not original.

Hi Ric, thank you very much for your very quick confirmation of my suspision. I just do not know anywhere near enough about buckles to be absolutely certain about one of these ... thanks again. Cheers, Torsten.

This SS EM buckle is offered to me by the same seller ... does the same verdict apply here? Cheers, Torsten.

Usually dealers with several fake SS items like that ...for big bucks , after discovering their items are repros...should be generally avoided from then on.

not a big dealer who is offering these to me, but a general antiques dealer in the USA that has come across some small third reich collection from somewhere and is offering these items to me. about 25% of the lot he is offering is original and about 75% is fake (including these two buckles). He just does not have a clue what is original and what is not. Cheers, Torsten.

Please correct me if this is wrong. My understanding is that the SS runes in a diamond are early 70's Delta International stuff, and a clear indication of a repro wherever it is found (buckles, rings, etc.)

                          checkit....

Correct.....any "SS in a diamond" hallmark is a Reproduction!!!! Delta certianly sold buckles with this code, but I don't think it was reclusively "Delta's" trademark.......

One of those "must remember" things....
