Raph these are italian made belts, the buckle that came with the belt had a matching web tab attached to the same design as the belt.

    Cheers Scott.

          Salut Raph,

Late war web belt or italian made ?
If it was "late war", the buckles would not have been, IMO, fitted with webb tongue ?

I dont know for sure about the Italian connection and I'd very much welkom hearing further details/info about it from knowledgeable members.

A way or an other it does not look at all like a German design to me .
I would assume also a "local" production, Italian or other theaters of war .

Italian made, that's a new one on me, can we see the Italian Buckle for this belt?

I've always heard and read these are later war produced belts, that were made in limited numbers. The design, though somewhat modified looks very similar to all combat belts that I know of. The steel hook sewn on, the tongue to allow for the buckle to be adjusted all indicate to me German design.
