              Belt and buckle

              I looked at my books and see no reference in The uniform book or Soldaten book that shows army belts to be brown, but as I said before they have Luft and Police, does any one else, have better intel than me ??? I see backsides of belts that are Army and brown, but the fronts are black. Why would the attached hook be Army/Heer green
              thanks

                Hello All,

                @dolchmann07...do not worry !
                The buckle and the belt is good.
                An air belt is not.
                The two things are probably not together ???
                It's both look very nice !

                Best regards

                  Hello Jack,

                  I'm with Raphael : both the items are original but not matching.

                  Best

                    Hello Jack, Raphael and Ric,
                    In my opinion, this set is fantastic.
                    A mint unissued early Heer belt and a mint unissued steel Heer buckle...
                    The early belt hasn't been blackened as it is unissued. Look at the hook, it retained at least 90% of its original Feldgrau paint...beautiful... (sorry, that's the emotion).......don't forget that prewar (the belt is 1938 dated), belts were produced in natural leather and were blackened later after being issued to a soldiers.
                    For me no problem, this belt and buckle can go together, maybe not for a combat display, but what an astonishing set for a cabinet or a mint/unissued items display.

                        I think these both go together, belts were issued to the Soldiers in the natural brown leather to be blackend afterwards.

                        Very, Very nice unissued set.
