    Buckle Check

Can someone please comment on this buckle? I have been told that I may have accidentally bought a reproduction. I thought I knew these painted steel buckles, but I always want to be sure that everything I sell is original. Thanks in advance.

          100 % fake !!!

came out during the MAX show 2000 ?? Don't remember exactly... JP ??

Was put on the market by a welknow dealer from the UK ( used to have a shop in London) With the story it came out of a box in the basement of the Moskow museum.... Unfortunatly for him.... I was in this museum during the early 80's and the "box" they came out like he said, was not containing these buckles but NSFK buckles....

I will remove it from my site, then. Thanks.

                  Hello Craig,

I've really appreciated your PM :

"I have to say, this is one reason I still like the forums : it keeps me from making a mistake that impacts the collector. Occasionally, through carelesness or lack of knowledge, a piece will slip by and make it to my website. But I can always leave it to a forum member to spot it. Happens about once a year, and I'm grateful"

and I'm sure that's an habit any collector is expecting by a well known International dealer.
That said, I take the occasion to renew a warning about another fake buckle posted by me (b.collector) few months ago by GDC :

                  http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/forums...2/m/3180094095

after my warning unfortunately the buckle was sold and now appears in the "reference only" section :

                  Best Regards

                  Ric

I don't think I ever got follow-up on this (though I do see my post in GDC). I'll have to search my sales records, and contact the buyer to try to get it back. Thanks.
