Nick take a pic of the rear view of the heer buckle to confirm if maybe been a Dak before repaint, also you can remove this horrible black paint with Acetone or nail varnish remover to reveal origional paint on the front face, the Acetone will not harm the genuine paint if theres any left on there that is.
                      Cheers S.

                          Heer Buckle

cleaned of new black paint and this is what was underneath.
Still a bit more to clean but most of the new paint is removed.

                          Regards

Nick its 100% genuine Tropical buckle with web tab, use a toothbrush to get the rest of that black paint out of the hard to clean parts around the wreath & lettering, now lets see the luftwaffe cleaned with Acetone
                            Cheers Scott.
