    2 SS Buckles?

Hello gentlemen! The aluminum 36/40 looks like the fake on previous posts. I noticed the 2 flaws on the ring on the backside. What do you think about the metal buckle? You can see some traces of finish on the metal buckle. Thank you in advance for your comments.

You are right the 36/40 is crap. For the "metal", you should submit a much better picture than the one here. Eagle's head shouls also be perfectly visible if you want to receive feedback one way or the other.

Looks like an original Overhoff with replaced (field repair) lost catch.
I believe the welding spot (at the bottom) of the former catch is still visible.
Whoever did the repair was skilled!

Thank you Jean Pierre. The catch was giving me some problems, but I liked the lettering. Michael

Up to you to determine if the repair was done period or not. Other than this, I do not see any problem with the buckle itself.
