One of my recent aquisitions. Heer Belt & Buckle. Belt clip marked S/C Pinetree logo 1938. Picked it up for $85. I'd say it's likely that they've never been seperated because the overall saltiness of the belt and buckle seem evenly proportional to eachother. The front part of the belt is definetely worn and there are a few minor cuts in the leather besides the various holes (did these serve a purpose?). The pebbled surface on the buckle has been ground out in some places as well. The eagle textures are completely ground out. Whoever owned this certainly spent a lot of time crawling on the ground!

It's difficult to see but I can confirm that the back of the buckle is marked "ON" The tab marker is extremely faded out and near impossible to see. In it's usual oval shape there appears to be a date in the center 193-6 or 8. On another side there is "NOWI." There is another faded out word on the another sidde of the oval. I can make out the letters H-A-M-B-U (Hamburg?) but then it becomes near invisible.
