    HJ Belt Buckle

    Hi to all,
I have an HJ belt buckle which was found by my sons friend in the woods.
I would post pictures but am working on reducing the size.
On the front states "Blut Und Ehre." with the German eagle and a diamond shape with a swastika in the center. On the back there are some markings:
An " A " which has designs on the tip and on the side of the "A". beside it are the words "GES.GESCH". and "A & S". Hope You can understand what I am trying to describe.

    Thanks
    Raul

Hi Raul, I can follow you description no probelm
The HJ buckle is made by Assmann & Sohn hence the stylised trade mark letter "A" and "A&S" for the name of the Company.
    Cheers, Ade.

...and Ges. Gesch. stands for "Gesetzlich geschützt" (no need of translation )

        HJ Belt Buckle

        Thanks for the replies.
Is the maker mark on mine common? I have only seen the maker mark RZM on HJ buckles.

        Thanks again

          Hello Raul,

          Please read this thread
          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=37109
and you will see many early Assmann made HJ buckles.
I let others comment on the rarity of this particuliar marking.
