hey Guys, Glenn here. I just got this belt and am hoping someone out there can help me ID the maker. its dated '43 and the first 2 letters are "bm" but I cant see any of the 3rd. it is the 1st pattern type belt. I looked up possibilities on the known list and it could be up to 3 different makers. possibilities are "blm" "bld" or "blu". I have a map case and a P38 holster both stamped "blm 43". has anyone seen an identical maker to this one or alteast be able to positively ID it? thanks, Glenn

its tough... I'm going to guess bmd...is that an M on the second pic above the stitching in the U shape..remnants of krieg stamp, or just the light?

thanks Rick for that pic. I do believe you are right in this maker. of course I had a brain fart in my description of the letters. it is cleary marked "bm?" and not "bl?" as well as the known makers are "bml", "bmd" and "bmu" and not the way I have stated them. my P38 holster and mapcase are likewise maked properly "bml" and not as I stated above. as far as the "M" you may be seeing in the above pic, I cant really tell if its there or not. this whole area of the belt is quite worn from use. it did come with this buckle which the seller says is original to the belt. I have no reason to doubt Him as He is a trusted collecting Friend and it shows the same signs of wear. were any belts marked with an "M" and if so, what would it mean? Glenn
