HJ buckle..opinions!

Hi all,
I have concerns over the originality of this silver painted steel HJ buckle, it is marked under the roller A A&S Ges Gesch RZM 17.
Am I correct in assuming it's a repro buckle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
