Why heer buckles have some time eagle on left and sometime on the right ?

The left facing eagle buckles were the first design/prodution run. They were introduced in late 1935/early 1936 with the eagle facing right. At some point it was changed to the eagle facing left and then changed back again to facing right. Very few of the left facing eagle buckles were made.. It is possible that someone decided to go back to the left facing eagle found on the Reichscheer buckle and was then told to stop. Who knows. It is what makes the hobby so interesting.
