    Nickel HJ buckles by Assmann

    Hello collectors!

I took a look to my nickel HJ buckle and I was surprised how many different variants Assmann produced within a short period(around two years).

Here are the buckles from my collection. I would like to hear if anybody has another Assmann marking on a Hitler Youth nickel buckle.
Any other comment or request is of course also welcome!

    Christian

          Christian

Have you seen before this combination and position of markings on a silver painted steel HJ,with a crank catch ?

          Would appreciate any comments.

          Regards,

          David

            Hello David,

yes, I know this one. It is fake. Several variant's exist, maker near the catch/maker maker under the prongs/ without maker. The catch is sometime the crank catch, but mainly the normal one with "feet".

The last variant which saw was in stamped brass instead of silver painted steel.

The stamping is always the same!

              HJ buckle

              Hi:

              In pictures #5 A-B-C and D
What does the # 17 under the RZM mean?

              Regards
              Gary

The "17" is the first RZM number from Assmann.
                Later they get the M4/39.

                  HJ fake

                  Hello Christian

                  Thankyou as always.

Would not of course expect to see RZM 17 on a silver painted steel buckle, although it was the "crank" that threw me - never seen this type on a fake before !

                  Regards,

                  David

                        HJ by A & S

                        Hello Gary

I particuarly like the HJ with the crank bar.

                        Another variation fastening device.

                        Regards,

                        David
